Most people asking this question are really asking something else: am I going to mess up my bike doing this?
No. Here is honestly everything the install involves.
The whole job in one paragraph
You drill one hole in your bash guard, bolt the light through it, unplug your headlight connector, plug our harness in between, and plug the headlight back into the other side. That is it. About 30 minutes for someone who has never done it before.
What you get in the box

- 1x Y-split harness, cut for the LBX
The harness is bike-specific, so there is no trimming, no matching wire colours, and no guessing which connector is which.
Step 1: pick your spot on the bash guard
The light needs to sit low and forward. That is the entire reason this works — when your front wheel comes up, your headlight points at the sky and you disappear. A light mounted low on the bash guard stays aimed down the road either way.
Hold the pod against the guard and find a flat spot where it clears everything at full suspension travel. Mark it.
Step 2: drill
One hole. Be aware this is permanent — the hole stays if you ever take the light off. It is a small hole in a part designed to get scraped and dented, so most riders do not think twice, but it is worth knowing before the drill touches metal.
If that bothers you, the Wheelie Light V2 bolts to the swing arm instead with no drilling at all.
Step 3: mount the pod
Bolt it through the hole and snug it down. Check the aim before you fully tighten — you want the beam hitting the road ahead of you, not the ground under your front wheel.
Step 4: the wiring, which is the easy part
The Y-split taps your headlight connector. Unplug it, plug our harness into the bike side, then plug your headlight into the other leg of the Y. The third leg feeds the light.
Nothing gets cut. Nothing gets spliced. Your headlight still works exactly as it did, and so does everything else on the bike. If you ever want to remove the light, you unplug the harness and the bike is back to standard.

Step 5: route and secure
Run the harness alongside your existing loom so nothing dangles into the wheel or gets pinched by the steering. Turn the bars lock to lock before you finish — make sure there is slack in both directions.
Step 6: test it
Turn the key. The light should come on with your headlight. Check your dash still reads normally and your other functions all work, because they should.
